Marketing that ties back to revenue.
I'm Jim Hollis. I run growth marketing for B2B companies, mostly in healthcare technology and membership software.
I started in 1999 as a marketing intern on racquet sports brands like Prince and Ektelon, and worked my way up to running marketing communications for all racquet sports. Since then it's been healthcare tech, pharma, industrial B2B and a membership organization. Different buyers, same question: what actually closes?
Here's what I believe. Marketing has to line up with sales and tie back to the business, or leadership has no reason to keep funding it. And the wrong tools, or the right tools set up wrong, will quietly cost you.
What I'm proudest of is building teams. At ASI I took a two-person group to seven people with a real owner for each channel. I did the same kind of work at NextGen and IQVIA. Good people, clear jobs, honest numbers.

He knows HubSpot and Dynamics CRM inside and out, and he really gets growth and demand gen, not just in theory but in how to actually execute it with a large team. He led our group with a lot of trust. He'd give direction when you needed it and otherwise let you do your job.
Jim almost single-handedly led Brooks out of a tired, mostly paper-based advertising program and into an elegant, global marketing strategy that leverages the web, electronic communication and social media.
